We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Contracted 1:1 Sign-Language Interpreter (SLI) to join our school district near Oshkosh, WI. This position involves providing direct support to a student in a PreK setting. The SLI will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and fostering language development for the student.

Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Grade Level: PreK

Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one with a student in a PreK setting.
  • Facilitate communication between the student and teachers, ensuring understanding and comprehension.
  • Support the student's language development and learning process.
  • Assist in implementing the student's individualized education plan (IEP).
  • Provide necessary accommodations and support to ensure the student's participation and engagement in classroom activities.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Sign-Language Interpreter (SLI).
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with PreK students.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
