Blazerworks, in partnership with the local school district, is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLI) for a full-time position in Evanston, IL. As an SLI, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by providing essential speech and language therapy services. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals within the classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers and support staff on effective strategies to enhance students' communication skills.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic techniques used in speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
