Position Details:

  • Full-time position
  • Possibility of renewal for the next school year


  • Provide sign language interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Assist students in understanding and accessing spoken language through sign language interpretation
  • Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and interactions for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to support students' educational goals
  • Adapt interpreting techniques and strategies based on students' individual needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions


  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Certification or training as a Speech-Language Interpreter (SLI)
  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of sign language interpreting ethics and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
