Extended School Year Sign Language Interpreting Opening
OFallon, IL
Procare Therapy is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for the extended school year 2023 in the O'Fallon, IL area. The interpreter will be responsible for providing communication support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Responsibilities:
- Provide interpreting services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Translate written materials and educational resources into sign language
- Attend meetings and communicate with parents and guardians as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of interpreting services provided
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA score
- Valid sign language interpreting license
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Hours:
- ESY programming is June 12 - July 8 from 8-12 daily.
Pay: $28 - $35 per hour (depending on experience, credentials, and budget)
