About the Role:
Sunbelt is looking for a certified Sign Language Interpreter to assist students in a wonderful Washington school district. This role provides the opportunity to make a significant difference in an inclusive educational setting with great benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpretation: Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for high-school classrooms.
- Student Support: Enhance communication for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, aiding their learning experience.
- Collaboration: Work with teachers, staff, and parents to meet students' needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sessions and communicate with educational professionals.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification.
- Experience: Previous educational experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- EIPA score of 3.5 (required) and passed the written exam
