Multiple Sign Language Interpreters Needed for the '23-24 School Year- Savannah, GA

We are hiring multiple Sign Language Interpreters (SLI) to work in our school district for the 2023-2024 School Year. Please see the details below.

Location: Savannah, GA

Details:

• Contract Position
• Full Time | 37.5 hours a week
• Start/ End Date: August 3^rd, 2023- May 22^nd, 2024
• Caseload Details:
  • 2x 1:1 with student
  • Need someone to also cover after hours for school activities for student.
• Pay Range: $28-34/hr (negotiable)
• Zoom Interview

Duties:

• Confer with educators to plan for interpreting.
• Provide interpreting during the school day in academic and non-academic settings.
• Attend student’s IEP team meetings in order to provide information about the student’s communication abilities and needs.
• Interpret auditory and signed information which includes environmental sounds, teacher instruction, student questions, and peer communication as described in Code of Ethics for Educational Interpreters.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Level Degree in ASL or Educational Interpreting
• Active SLI National Certification
• Certifications: EIPA, RID and NIC
