The school has multiple needs for full time sign language interpreters (SLI) for the upcoming school year. The school will place candidates based on experience and the school’s needs. Candidates should be comfortable working with students of all ages.

Responsibilities:

As a school sign language interpreter you will, provide interpreting during the school day in academic and non-academic settings.You will also be required to interpret for students utilizing the students preferred mode of communications. Lastly you will work under the direction and supervision of the teacher to whom assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Successful completion of an Interpreter/translator Training Program affiliated with an accredited educational institution
• Current, national interpreter and translator certification or a two-year provisional certificate with certification attained prior to expiration
• Must have experience in School Sign Language Interpretation
• Must be Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
