Position Overview: As a Full-Time School SLI, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with communication needs within an educational setting. Collaborating closely with educators, therapists, and parents, you will facilitate effective communication for students with speech and language challenges, ensuring they have equal access to a quality education.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and translate spoken language for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Provide support during classroom instruction, group activities, and individual therapy sessions
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse communication needs
• Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other educational professionals to implement effective strategies
• Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to student progress discussions

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a School Speech-Language Interpreter in the state of Oklahoma
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant communication modalities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience in a school or educational setting preferred but not mandatory
