Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Position – 2026/2027 School Year
Details:
• Start: August 2026
• End: May 2027
• Onsite preferred
• Full Time
• 1 student transitioning to high school
• Interpreter will support the student across academic classes, including Algebra, English, History, and other core subjects
• Candidate should be comfortable interpreting technical and subject-specific terminology in a secondary education setting
Education and Certification:
• Educational Sign Language Interpreter certification/license as required by Tennessee state and district guidelines
• Strong knowledge of academic and technical terminology across high school subject areas
• Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
• EIPA score and/or additional interpreting credentials preferred, based on district requirements
