- EIPA level 3 or higher, or one of the following national certifications: RID (NIC, NAD) or an Educational Certification (K–12 or OTC)
- Experience providing interpreting or translating services for children or young adults in school settings preferred
- Excellent fluency in American Sign Language and a professional, student-centered approach
- Ability to adapt as school placements and caseload details are determined
Your role will involve:
- Delivering clear, accurate interpretations between students, staff, and teachers in classroom and school activities
- Facilitating a supportive and accessible learning space for deaf and hard of hearing students
- Collaborating with other educators and school personnel to ensure students’ communication needs are met
- Adhering to school policies and completing time-sensitive onboarding, including district credentialing and documentation
- Maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards at all times
