Sign Language Interpreter | 23/24 school year in Huntsville, AL

BlazerWorks, in partnership with a school district in Huntsville, AL, seeking a dedicated and qualified Sign Language Interpreter for a contract position.

Dates: July 26, 2023 - May 24, 2024

Hours: 40 hours per week

Caseload: Elementary

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
• Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication skills in the educational setting
• Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary
• Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on speech and language goals and services
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records of students' progress and services

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• Alabama state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
