Sign Language Interpreter Near Omaha, NE
Title: Sign Language Interpreter (Full Time or Part Time)
We are currently seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. This is an onsite position where you will be working 1:1 with an 8th grade female student. The main responsibility of this role is to interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa, ensuring effective communication and inclusion for the student.
Requirements:
- Possession of a 4.0 Educational Interpreting Performance Assessment (EIPA) is mandatory
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred
- Excellent fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to adapt to the student's individual needs. Patience, empathy, and a passion for facilitating learning are also important qualities for this role.
This position offers an attractive pay rate of $35 per hour. The working hours can be flexible, either full time or part time based on your availability.
