Soliant is currently searching for a Sign Language Interpreter for a school district in the Bristol, CT area. This is a full time contractor position for the 2022/2023 school year. If you would like to join a supportive team, come apply today.

Details:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and deaf/hard of hearing teachers in order to prepare and provide quality interpreting services for students to assist with educational development.
• Provide communication access to students with deaf or hard of hearing disabilities and assist with coursework.
• Interpret for students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) to aide with daily instruction.
• Assist with any data collection, classroom assignments, and record keeping for student report progress and Individualized Educational Plan goals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working in sign language preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).

Must have at least ONE of the following

• Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)
• Certificate of Interpreting (CI)
• Certificate of Transliteration (CT)
