Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Job Summary:
Are you a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) seeking a rewarding role in Golden Gate, FL? We have a full-time opening for a dedicated SLI to provide on-site interpretation services at various school levels, including elementary, middle, and high schools. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact by facilitating effective communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
Requirements:
- Certification: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.0 or higher (candidates will need to provide their score results during the screening process).
- Proficiency: Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
- Experience: Previous experience in educational settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation in classrooms and other educational settings.
- Assist students in understanding and engaging in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educators to implement and adhere to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
Caseload Details:
- Students: 1-2 students per caseload.
- School Sites: Elementary, Middle, or High School (you can select your preferred setting).
Additional Information:
- Hours per Week: Varies by location, with an average of 35 hours per week.
- Position Type: On-site only (no virtual positions available).
