Job Summary:
Are you a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) looking for a new opportunity? We have an opening in Poulsbo, WA, where you will play a critical role in ensuring effective communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students within an educational environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or related field
- Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) preferred
- Proficient in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation in classrooms and other educational settings
- Assist students in understanding and engaging in classroom activities
- Work with educators to implement and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
