Position: Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Job Summary:
Are you a skilled Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) looking for a rewarding opportunity? We have a full-time position available in Reno, NV, where you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing students across various age groups in educational settings.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language (ASL) or a related field.
- Certification: Certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) preferred.
- Proficiency: Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation in classrooms and other educational settings.
- Assist students in understanding and participating in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educators to implement and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
Pay and Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive rate of $75 per hour.
- Hours: Full-time, 30+ hours per week.
