Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter 
Location: Davis, CA
Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time
Caseload Details: 1:1 w/ 4th Grade Student, M/T/TH/F: 8:30am-3:05pm, W: 8:30am-1:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and hearing individuals.
• Provide sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
• Assist students with understanding and expressing spoken and written language.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques and strategies in sign language interpretation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Level Degree in ASL or Education Interpreting 
• Certifications: EIPA, RID, and NIC
• Certified in the state (CA) as an interpreter.
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant sign language systems.
• Prior experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
