Employment Type: Contract, Full-time
Caseload Details: Starting ASAP - 6/14/24, Elementary Student, 1:1 in one location but possibly floating to other locations

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and hearing individuals.
- Provide sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings.
- Assist students with understanding and expressing spoken and written language.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Stay updated on the latest techniques and strategies in sign language interpretation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Level Degree in ASL or Education Interpreting
- Certifications: EIPA, RID, and NIC
- Licensed as an SLI/ASL Interpreter in VA.
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant sign language systems.
- Prior experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
