California Sign Language Interpreter (Remote or Onsite)

 There is a need for a Sign Language Interpreter in San Jose, California for the coming school year.  Any professional who is motivated to benefit the students and teachers they work with, is encouraged to apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ProCare Therapy is currently arranging interviews for a school district who is in need of a Sign Language Interpreter for the coming school year.
 
Job Details:

  • Onsite OR Remote (Onsite preferred)
  • 30+ hrs/week (Full time benefits of onsite professional)
  • Excellent and supportive staff
  • Interpreting during general, resource and special education classes, music, testing situations and medical services
  • Will act as part of the IEP team
  • Hearing aid support

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred but not required
  • ASL or Signing Exact English experience is required.
  • California Department of Ed. Educational Interpreter Authorization is required
  • New EIPA score of 3.5 is required

Pay rate is variable based upon experience but starts at $35/hr. Healthcare benefits are also offered including medical, dental, and vision coverage for full time, onsite professionals. 
Remote professionals will be contracted as independent contractors!
