What we’re seeking:
- Active licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required)
- Experience providing 1:1 interpretation services, preferably in a pediatric or educational setting
- Strong understanding of Deaf culture and best practices for supporting students with hearing differences
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate ASL interpretation for a single pediatric student throughout the school day
- Support student access to instruction, activities, and peer interactions
- Communicate effectively with educators, therapists, and family members as needed
- Maintain documentation and confidentiality per school policies
- Adapt language levels and interpreting techniques to suit the needs of the individual student
