Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in American Sign Language and interpretation in K-12 settings
- Current Georgia Department of Education SLI License required (no waivers accepted)
- Experience adapting communication strategies for a variety of learning environments
- Flexibility to serve both assigned and floating caseloads as district needs evolve
- Strong collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and special education teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for a student in academic and extracurricular settings
- Adjust interpretation styles according to student needs and instructional activities
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all student communications
- Serve as an educational liaison, facilitating inclusive learning experiences
- Work in partnership with educators to support individualized learning plans and goals
