Key Experience & Qualification Highlights:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Eligibility for or possession of a VQAS Level III or a 3.5 score on the EIPA (final requirements pending district confirmation)
- Ability to complete a Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly
- Completion of a Virginia state-required TB test
- Experience interpreting in K-12 educational environments welcomed
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing on an as-needed, on-site basis
- Adapt to varying assignments, campuses, and age groups as determined by district demand
