Key Qualifications:

• ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required)
• Proficient in receptive and expressive American Sign Language interpretation
• Experience working 1:1 with students or young people in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Understanding of IEP accommodations and educational protocols
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Flexibility and reliability for a school-based schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, sensitive, and confidential interpretation services for an assigned student
• Support direct classroom instruction and school-related activities, ensuring accessibility to educational content
• Facilitate clear communication between the student, peers, teachers, and staff
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt materials and access services as needed
• Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with interpreting best practices
• Document services provided and participate in meetings as required
