What We’re Looking For:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or relevant equivalent
- Previous background working with preschool-aged children is strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt communication style to the needs of young learners
- Dependable, punctual, and able to collaborate with other educators and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpreting services to support preschool students in classroom activities, small groups, and individual interactions
- Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Assist in fostering an inclusive classroom environment where all students can engage and thrive
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards within the school community
- Participate in team meetings or discussions relevant to student progress and interpreter services as needed
