Key qualifications:
- Experience providing sign language interpretation in school settings
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
- Valid state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Proficiency supporting children across K-12 grade levels
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff in classrooms and throughout the campus
- Support student participation in academic and extracurricular activities by bridging communication gaps
- Collaborate with general and special education teams to develop and implement individualized support strategies
- Maintain confidentiality while fostering trust and positive rapport with students
- Uphold professional standards and participate in ongoing professional development
