What you’ll bring:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Proficiency in American Sign Language, with an ASLPI score of 4.1 or above
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly in 1:1 roles with pediatric clients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive, supportive attitude
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct 1:1 interpretation services for a student in educational settings
- Facilitating communication among students, teachers, and staff
- Translating lesson content, instructions, and classroom discussions with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
- Supporting the student’s access to curriculum and extracurricular activities
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies and professional standards
