Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Sign Language Interpreter (SC SLI) certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a deep understanding of Deaf culture
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and administrators
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret verbal and auditory communication between students, staff, and peers using ASL
- Support individual learners during classroom instruction, assemblies, and extracurricular activities
- Assist in preparing educational materials when needed

- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input for student support plans
