Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA score of 3.5+ with ISBE Approval, OR
- EIPA 3.0-3.4 with ISBE Interim Approval, OR
- BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials (with ISBE Approval)
- Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
- Proficiency in ASL and understanding of educational interpreting
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and student well-being
Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation for students and staff in diverse educational environments
- Accurately convey spoken language in class, meetings, and extracurricular settings
- Foster an inclusive learning atmosphere and encourage student participation
