This full-time, onsite contract role offers approximately 30 hours per week, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference every school day.
What you bring:
- Certification from the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf or a 4.0+ score on EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessments
- Candidates with an EIPA below 4.0 are also considered and supported, with roles tailored as ASL Para
- Solid foundation in American Sign Language and sign-to-voice/voice-to-sign interpreting
- Experience working within school environments, particularly with hard of hearing and deaf students, is beneficial
- Collaborative approach and ability to work well with students, teachers, and school personnel
- Flexibility to support both academic learning (reading, writing, math) and daily living/vocational skills
- Preference for working within either a middle or high school setting; your interests will be taken into consideration

- Facilitate clear, accessible communication between students, staff, and peers
- Support students not only academically but also in community and extracurricular activities
- Assist in developing students’ academic and life skills, helping them thrive in various classroom settings
