Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
- Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience in K-12 settings is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and discussions for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students
- Support effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Adapt interpreting techniques to meet student needs and educational goals
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all assignments
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning as needed
