Blazer Jobs is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing students during the 2026–2027 school year. The interpreter will facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers by translating spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa
- Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and hearing individuals
- Support students in classroom, educational, and social settings
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
- Assist in ensuring equal access to instruction and school activities
Qualifications:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter licensure/certification required
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
