Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) score of 4.1 or higher
- Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students in a school or similar environment
- Ability to adapt quickly, maintain professionalism, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and accurate sign language interpretation services for a single student throughout the school day
- Facilitate communication between student, staff, and peers, fostering both social and academic development
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the student’s individual needs are consistently met
- Maintain confidential records and comply with all school policies and legal requirements
- Actively participate in meetings or training sessions as required
