Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter.
- ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) score of 4.1 or higher required.
- Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings, particularly in 1:1 roles.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-supportive approach.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment and work closely with teachers and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, 1:1 sign language interpretation for a pediatric student in the school setting.
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, educators, and staff to ensure full access to educational content and activities.
- Collaborate with the educational team to implement appropriate accommodation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records as required by school policies.
