Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current and valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Minimum ASLPI score of 4.1 or above
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting for pediatric populations
- Experience providing 1:1 support in educational or pediatric settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliability and professionalism in a school environment
- Open to travel candidates who can commit to the full assignment duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated, individualized sign language interpretation for a assigned pediatric student throughout the school day
- Collaborate closely with teachers, related service professionals, and family members to support student engagement and learning
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff in both classroom and extracurricular activities
- Adhere to confidentiality standards and follow all guidelines set by the school and educational authority
- Consistently document progress and participate in team meetings to ensure the best possible support for the student
