What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- A minimum EIPA score of 4.0
- Completion of CHSPE or NCLB requirements—either 48 units of higher education study, an AA degree, or a Certificate for the RID
- Alternatively, TEC unit level 4 ACCI certification accepted
- Prior experience working with students in an academic setting is strongly preferred
- Strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and student advocacy
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one sign language interpreting to students during classroom instruction and activities
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
- Support the educational goals of assigned students in various academic settings
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all school and agency guidelines
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
