Desired Candidate Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Sign Language Interpreter (SC SLI) certification
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings
- Commitment to onsite-only service (remote interpreters not considered)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretive services for students and staff in assigned schools (37.5 hours per week)
- Facilitate communication between deaf/hard of hearing individuals and hearing individuals in the classroom and school events
- Collaborate with teachers, educational teams, and specialists
- Maintain professional confidentiality and adhere to district policies
