Key Qualifications:
- Current certification or credentials as an ASL Interpreter valid for Minnesota schools
- Prior experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in educational settings is highly valued
- Strong command of American Sign Language and English, with the ability to convey spoken and signed messages with cultural and linguistic sensitivity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Flexibility to adapt communication techniques to different ages and classroom environments
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent, high-quality interpreting services for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students district-wide, ensuring equitable participation throughout the school day
- Serve as a key communication link between students, staff, families, and peers, encouraging student inclusion and engagement
- Function as a related service provider and integral member of each student’s educational team
- Travel as needed between schools within the district to meet student and staff needs
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with educational and interpreting standards
