Desired Background:
- Current NAD Certification or EIPA Certification at 4.0 or above is required
- Prior experience interpreting in educational or classroom settings is highly valued
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with clear communication skills
- Ability to support students across a wide range of ages, from kindergarten through high school
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with students, teachers, and staff

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, effective sign language interpretation for K-12 students during instructional and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers to support individual learning needs
- Interpret classroom lessons, group work, assemblies, and any school events where deaf or hard-of-hearing students participate
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold student privacy in line with district and professional standards
- Offer feedback and insight into improved communication strategies as part of the student’s educational team
