Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement, as required by the state.
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and the ability to facilitate seamless communication.
- Ability to work onsite, flexibly adapting to grade levels and school sites as assigned.
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and collaborating with educational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver sign language interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring equal access to classroom instruction, activities, and discussions.
- Serve students across grade levels within the assigned satellite program and/or partner schools (specific sites to be determined).
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and staff to address student needs and enhance educational outcomes.
- Maintain ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Support student engagement in both academic and social settings.
