Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current license as a Sign Language Interpreter
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher
- Proven experience working 1:1 with pediatric clients—preferably in a school setting
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students
- Professional, reliable, and able to adapt to individual student requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, culturally appropriate ASL interpretation for one pediatric student in educational and school-related environments
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to support student learning and participation
- Assist in adapting classroom materials and instructional strategies for student accessibility
- Advocate for the student’s communication needs and educational inclusion
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards at all times
