Qualifications:
- Valid certification with an EIPA score of 4.0 or higher, or RID credentials required
- Demonstrated experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Strong command of American Sign Language (ASL)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt interpreting style appropriately for younger audiences
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings
- Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support students’ participation in academic and extracurricular programs
- Assist in adapting instructional materials as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
