Choose from the following positions to best fit your schedule:
Position 1:
- Location: Vernon Hills, IL
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Assignment runs until May 28, 2027
Position 2:
- Location: Grayslake, IL
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Assignment runs until May 20, 2027
Requirements:
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a commitment to providing effective communication accessibility
- EIPA score of 3.5+ with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval
- OR EIPA score of 3.0–3.4 with ISBE Interim Approval
- OR current BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials with ISBE Approval
- Experience working with students in educational settings is highly desirable
- Adaptability, professionalism, and reliability in a school environment
- Must be able to work onsite (remote not available)
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and facilitate communication between students, educators, and peers
- Support the inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing students in all aspects of the educational experience
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in interpreting
- Participate in relevant staff meetings or IEP sessions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure student success
