Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Demonstrated experience in educational or pediatric settings, particularly in 1:1 roles
- Minimum ASLPI score of 4.1 or above (required)
- Strong understanding of child development and communication support needs
- Comfortable collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure inclusion and accessibility
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct interpretation services between the student and staff using American Sign Language in classroom and school activities
- Support student understanding in both academic and social settings
- Work closely with teachers and special education professionals to adapt classroom materials and strategies as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions
- Document sessions and report student progress as required
