Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Demonstrated experience working 1:1 with pediatric populations in school settings
- Proficiency in American Sign Language, with an ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher
- Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and collaboration with educational staff
- Willingness to travel for the position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct sign language interpretation for a designated student during classroom instruction, activities, and school functions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure effective communication and participation for the student
- Assist in adapting learning materials or communication methods to meet the student’s individual needs
