Sign Language Interpreter in Wilton, CA

Requirements for Success:
- Valid state licensure and credentials for Sign Language Interpreting
- EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required)
- Proven experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred
- Ability to interpret in a variety of classroom and extracurricular environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for students and staff in general and special education classrooms
- Facilitate communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, peers, and educators
- Support students’ understanding of curriculum content and classroom interactions
- Adapt interpreting techniques in accordance with specific learning needs, settings, and IEP requirements
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with school staff to foster inclusive educational experiences
- Contribute to ongoing student progress and success through active engagement in the school community
