Key Qualifications:
- State licensure required as an ASL Interpreter; Spanish interpreting abilities highly preferred (MSL skills considered a strong asset)
- Experience providing 1:1 or classroom interpreting in K-12 settings
- Proficient in American Sign Language, with additional preference for candidates fluent in Spanish
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside educators, staff, and families
- Skilled in adapting communication styles and supporting diverse learning needs
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing real-time sign language interpretation for a designated middle school student, ensuring comprehension and engagement across all academic content and school-related interactions
- Interpreting in classroom settings, small groups, assemblies, and other school activities as needed
- Acting as a bridge between educators, staff, and the student to facilitate accessible communication
- Maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional ethical standards at all times
- Attending school day hours consistently, with a full-time weekly schedule of 37.5 hours
