ProCare Therapy is seeking qualified Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to support students in Placer County, California for the upcoming school year. We currently have five openings available across multiple school sites in Roseville and Auburn. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing communication access and educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Position Details
- Position: Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
- Location: Roseville and Auburn, CA
- Number of Openings: 5
- Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
- Hours: 6.25–7.25 hours per day, depending on assigned site
- Pay Rate: $40–$50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide sign language interpreting services for students in educational settings
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Interpret classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and related educational content
- Support student access to academic and social opportunities throughout the school day
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student success
Qualifications
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher, or equivalent assessment certification
- Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
