Qualifications & Requirements:
- Hold an active interpreter license and be qualified to work in a school setting
- Minimum ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher required
- Prior experience working as a 1:1 interpreter with pediatric students preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to supporting students’ learning
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 interpreting services for an assigned student throughout the school day
- Accurately convey spoken language and signed communication between student, staff, and peers
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and school staff to foster a positive learning environment
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional interpreter standards at all times
- Support classroom activities and accommodate the evolving educational needs of the student
