Qualifications:
- Current proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Valid national or state interpreter certification (RID, NAD or EIPA)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in new environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for students and staff in classroom and school activities
- Facilitate effective, inclusive communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and the school community
- Participate in educational meetings and contribute to IEP/504 plan discussions as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreter standards
- Support student engagement in academic and extracurricular programs
