Qualifications & Experience
- Valid national certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher (required)
- Prior experience supporting students in school settings or similar environments
- Comfortable working 1:1 with students and adapting interpreting styles as needed
- Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to relocate or travel for the assignment is welcomed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and culturally sensitive interpreting services for a designated student during classroom instruction, activities, and meetings
- Facilitate clear communication between the student, peers, and faculty
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and educational teams to support the student’s individual learning needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
- Assist with documentation and progress reports related to interpreting services
